Many churches have lists of programs to help you connect with others in the congregation. You won’t find much of that here. Instead, we are an unapologetically relationship-driven church. If you ask “how do I get involved,” we won’t point you to programs but people. In the links to the right, you'll find the main ways that we encourage newcomers to connect with the people of CHBC, as we seek to live out the relational model of the New Testament church.
Patrick and his wife Ronna both hail from Texas where they met and married as undergraduates at Texas A&M University. They moved to D.C. in 1995 for Patrick to finish law school at The George Washington University. Patrick is an attorney at Hogan Lovells US LLP, where he has practiced air quality and climate change law in the energy sector since 1997. He has served CHBC as a lecturer in Church History and the Old Testament, a small group leader, the Deacon of Budget, a childcare volunteer, and a member of the church’s music ensemble. He has the great privilege of serving as a husband to Ronna, a father to Benjamin, and an elder to CHBC. Patrick is a voracious reader, and enjoys studying history and political philosophy, playing the piano, science, biking, music, sailing, hiking, and cooking.
