Many churches have lists of programs to help you connect with others in the congregation. You won’t find much of that here. Instead, we are an unapologetically relationship-driven church. If you ask “how do I get involved,” we won’t point you to programs but people. In the links to the right, you'll find the main ways that we encourage newcomers to connect with the people of CHBC, as we seek to live out the relational model of the New Testament church.
Kristin was raised in Ohio in a Christian home. She learned at an early age that she was a sinner and needed a Savior and doesn't remember a time not personally believing in the gospel. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago with a degree in Children's Ministry. During her time at Moody she grew immensely in her own walk with the Lord as well as in her desire to see Christ made known throughout the world. She visited CHBC for the first time in 2011 before graduating from college and prayed that the Lord would allow her to return and join one day. She moved to D.C. a year later and since then, the Lord has grown in her a love and thankfulness for the local church and an increased awareness of its vital place in the life of each believer. She and her husband Dennis live on Capitol Hill.
