Many churches have lists of programs to help you connect with others in the congregation. You won’t find much of that here. Instead, we are an unapologetically relationship-driven church. If you ask “how do I get involved,” we won’t point you to programs but people. In the links to the right, you'll find the main ways that we encourage newcomers to connect with the people of CHBC, as we seek to live out the relational model of the New Testament church.
Kelli Barbic has been a member of CHBC since 2007, and she began serving on staff part-time as a biblical counselor for women in 2011. She received her undergraduate degree in American Politics and Policy from the University of Central Florida, and her master’s degree in Biblical Counseling from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. It was as an undergrad that Kelli noticed her growing desire to invest her life in caring for and encouraging other women, and is reminded daily of the gift the Lord has given her in the opportunity to walk beside other women in the Christian faith. When she is not counseling, Kelli can often be found doing one (or more) of the following: running, cooking, bargain hunting, UF Gator football-watching, DIY home renovating, and day dreaming about growing old with her husband Ken.
