Many churches have lists of programs to help you connect with others in the congregation. You won’t find much of that here. Instead, we are an unapologetically relationship-driven church. If you ask “how do I get involved,” we won’t point you to programs but people. In the links to the right, you'll find the main ways that we encourage newcomers to connect with the people of CHBC, as we seek to live out the relational model of the New Testament church.
Jonathan was born and raised in Indiana. After completing a degree in Mathematics at Purdue University, he taught math for two years. Jonathan and his wife, Abby, joined CHBC in 2014 when they moved to Washington, DC. Before coming on staff, Jonathan worked five years in health care policy, serving as a deacon and completing the pastoral internship program.In addition to serving as a pastoral assistant, Jonathan is also working on his Master of Divinity at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jonathan enjoys reading, playing basketball, and spending time with Abby.
