Many churches have lists of programs to help you connect with others in the congregation. You won’t find much of that here. Instead, we are an unapologetically relationship-driven church. If you ask “how do I get involved,” we won’t point you to programs but people. In the links to the right, you'll find the main ways that we encourage newcomers to connect with the people of CHBC, as we seek to live out the relational model of the New Testament church.
Gina was born in Texas, but has lived her adult life on both US coasts, in Los Angeles and in the Washington, DC area. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Baylor University in 1985, and worked in the corporate world until their first child was born. She and her husband moved into the city as empty-nesters in 2014 and began attending CHBC.
Gina has served women in ministry for the past 30 years, which led to her desire to become a counselor with the Association of Certified Bibilical Counselors. She embraces every opportunity to open the Scriptures to seek and find where God addresses our problems in life. She believes in the power of prayer and also loves the privilege of participating in God’s plan for His people in this way. Her extensive travel to 34 countries has helped confirm to her that God’s word applies to every heart, in every place, for every time. She and her husband, Stu, have three married children and two grandsons. They both enjoy the company of their Goldendoodle, Potus.
